EXPLANATORY NOTE This Bill would amend the Provincial Parks Act to authorize the minister responsible for the Act to permit transportation in the Newfoundland T'Railway Provincial Park associated with logging, mining, mineral exploration or hydro-electric development.
A BILL AN ACT TO AMEND THE PROVINCIAL PARKS ACT Analysis 1. S.5(2) Added Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: RSN1990 cP-32 1. Section 5 of the Provincial Parks Act is amended by renumbering it as subsection 5(1) and by adding immediately after that subsection the following: (2) Notwithstanding subsection 4(5), the minister may permit the use of the Newfoundland T'Railway Provincial Park for the purpose of transportation associated with logging, mining, mineral exploration or hydro-electric development.
