EXPLANATORY NOTES This Bill would amend the Public Tender Act to (a) remove from the Act the exemption of
(b) permit a minister to approve a request for proposals. At present the approval of the
Lieutenant-Governor in Council is required.
The amendment would also provide that the Lieutenant-Governor in Council
may establish terms and conditions under which a minister may exercise the

S.3 Amdt. Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: RSNL1990 cP-45 1. Paragraph 2(b) of the Public Tender Act is amended by (a) striking out the words "but does not include" after subparagraph (viii); and (b) striking out subparagraph (ix). ŠEarl G.
