Pedestrian Trails Designation Regulations (Amendment)
under the
Pedestrian Trails Liability Protection Act

Under the authority of section 5 of the Pedestrian Trails Liability Protection Act, I make the following regulations.

East Coast Trail

        1. Section 2 of the Pedestrian Trails Designation Regulations is repealed and the following substituted:

East Coast Trail

        2. The East Coast Trail, established by the East Coast Trails Association Inc. and marked reasonably clearly as a recreational hiking trail, consisting of

             (a)  a trail running generally along the coast of the Avalon Peninsula from Topsail Beach to Trepassey; and

             (b)  a wilderness trail running across the interior of the Avalon Peninsula from Ferryland to Placentia and from Hawks Nest Pond following the Avalon Wilderness Boundary to Butter Pot Hill and to Renews

including Crown land and privately owned land, and being generally described on maps filed with the Lands Branch of the Department of Environment and Conservation, is designated as a trail to which this Act applies.
