Buildings Accessibility Regulations (Amendment) (Filed February 2, 2012) Under the authority of section 30 of the Buildings Accessibility Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations. Dated at Robert Thompson REGULATIONS Analysis 1. Sch. Amdt. 2. Transitional 3. Commencement CNLR 1140/96 1. Subsection 15(2) of the Schedule to the Buildings Accessibility Regulations is repealed and the following substituted: (2) Vertical signs shall be (a) at least 300 millimetres by 600 millimetres; (b) permanently installed on a permanent post, building or structure at a height of 1500 millimetres from the ground or floor surface to the centre of the sign; (c) visible to the public; and (d) maintained in a state of good repair. Transitional 2. (1) A building which is subject to the Act and the Regulations and which was completed or partially completed before these regulations came into force shall comply with these regulations by September 30, 2012. (2) A
proposed building which is subject to the Act and the Regulations and for which
a building accessibility design registration application was submitted before these
regulations came into force shall comply with these regulations by September
30, 2012. Commencement 3. These regulations come into force on
