Salmon Angling and Tag Use Order (Amendment)
under the
Wild Life Regulations
and the
Wild Life Act

Under the authority of section 4.1 of the Wild Life Regulations and the Wild Life Act, I make the following regulations.

as amended

        1. Sections 2 and 3 of the Salmon Angling and Tag Use Order are repealed and the following substituted:

Tags - class 2 rivers

        2. Salmon retained by angling on rivers with a yearly quota of 2 salmon (Class 2) under section 13.1 and Schedule I of the Newfoundland and Labrador Fishery Regulations (Canada) shall be tagged with red tags only.

Tags - class 4 rivers

        3. Salmon retained by angling on rivers with a yearly quota of 4 salmon (Class 4) under section 13.1 and Schedule I of the Newfoundland and Labrador Fishery Regulations (Canada) shall be tagged with red or green tags only.

 

        2. Subsection 4(1) of the Order is repealed and the following substituted:

Tags - class 6 rivers

        4. (1) Salmon retained by angling on rivers with a yearly quota of 6 salmon (Class 6) under section 13.1 and Schedule I of the Newfoundland and Labrador Fishery Regulations (Canada) shall be tagged with red, green or blue tags.

 

        3. Section 7 of the Order is repealed and the following substituted:

Tags - non-scheduled rivers

        7. Salmon retained by angling on a river or other inland waters with a yearly quota of 2 salmon (Class 2) under section 13.1 of the Newfoundland and Labrador Fishery Regulations (Canada) that is not listed in Schedule I of those regulations shall be tagged with red tags only.
