Reserving out of the Bay du Nord Wilderness Reserve as described above, a linear horizontal strip of land referred to as Area A, extending 40 metres in a north-south direction and approximately 13 kilometres in a general west-east direction, the parcel being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at a point on the limit of the Bay du Nord Wilderness Reserve, that point having co-ordinates of east 616,299.836 metres and north 5,311,108.166 metres;

Then running north 89° 05' 38" east for a distance of 442.860 metres more or less, to a point having co-ordinates of east 616,742.641 metres and north 5,311,115.169 metres;

Then running north 89° 14' 11" east for a distance of 6,382.250 metres more or less, to a point having co-ordinates of east 623,124.324 metres and north 5,311,200.221 metres;

Then running south 77° 46' 14" east for a distance of 1,291.751 metres more or less, to a point having co-ordinates of east 624,386.761 metres and north 5,310,926.591 metres;

Area B

Also reserving out of the Bay du Nord Wilderness Reserve as described above, four rectangular parcels of land collectively referred to as Area B and situated adjacent to Area A, the parcels being more particularly described as follows:

All co-ordinates and bearings of Area C refer to the 57° west longitude meridian of Zone 21 of the Universal Transverse Mercator Projection, North American Datum 1983.

Reserving and excepting out of the above described Bay du Nord Wilderness Reserve and Areas A, B and C all those pieces or parcels of land lawfully alienated from the Crown.

The above described Bay du Nord Wilderness Reserve containing an area of 2,910.436 km², more or less.

Schedule B

The Bay du Nord Wilderness Reserve is established for the purpose of protecting a multitude of natural features which make it a fitting representative of wild Newfoundland and Labrador. The area contains the habitat of moose, caribou, representative vegetation and several major river systems. The reserve is an important wilderness resource for the use of people for outdoor recreation and the expanding adventure tourism market.

Management policies have been devised for the reserve to protect its significant wilderness values. These include no new development such as roads, cottages, wharves and the like. Forest harvesting, mining and other intensive activities will be prohibited. Natural succession will be allowed to continue with no habitat modification to occur. Scientific study and educational use in the reserve will be encouraged. Hunting, fishing, trapping, camping and other recreational activities will be permitted. Permits to enter the reserve will be required but they will be issued free of charge.
