Statistics Regulations (Filed October 22, 2021) Under the authority of section 43.1 of the Vital Statistics Act, 2009, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations. These regulations may be cited as the Vital Statistics Regulations. Definitions 2. In these regulations, "Act" means the Vital Statistics Act, 2009. Designated agent 3. A person may be a designated agent where (a) the person is a natural person; (b) the person is at least 19 years of age; (c) the person is designated in writing, in the form set by the minister, by the person making the designation; and (d) the person (i) has known the person making the designation for at least one year and has signed a statement to that effect in the form set by the minister, (ii) is a lawyer acting on behalf of the person making the designation, or (iii) satisfies the registrar general that they are acting on behalf of or employed by a government, charitable or non-profit organization providing social support or social services to the person making the designation and has signed a statement to that effect in the form set by the minister. ©Queen's Printer |
