and Equipment Regulations (Amendment) (Filed November 4, 2021) Under the authority of subsection 195(5) of the Highway Traffic Act, the Minister of Digital Government and Service Newfoundland and Labrador, with the approval of the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, makes the following regulations. S. 29 Amdt. CNLR 1007/96 1. Section 29 of the Licensing and Equipment Regulations is amended by adding immediately after subsection (2) the following: (3) A person who contravenes subsection (2) is guilty of an offence and is liable on summary conviction (a) for a first offence, to a fine of not less than $250 and not more than $1000 and in default of payment of the fine, to imprisonment for a period of not less than 3 days and not more than 6 days; and (b) for a subsequent offence, to a fine of not less than $500 and not more than $1000 and in default of payment of the fine, to imprisonment for a period of not less than 3 days and not more than 6 days. ©Queen's Printer |
