Endangered Species List Regulations (Amendment)
under the
Endangered Species Act
(O.C. 2022-116)

Under the authority of sections 7 and 44 of the Endangered Species Act, the Minister of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture, with the approval of the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, makes the following regulations.

        1. Schedule A of the Endangered Species List Regulations is amended by

             (a)  deleting the species "Mackenzie’s Sweetvetch - Hedysarum boreale subsp. mackenzii"; and

             (b)  deleting the species "Red Crossbill (percna) - Loxia curvirostra percna".

 

        2. Schedule B of the regulations is amended by

             (a)  adding immediately after the species "American Marten (Island of Newfoundland Population) – Martes americana atrata" the species "Bank Swallow – Riparia riparia";

             (b)  adding immediately after the species "Hudsonian Godwit – Limosa haemastica" the species "Mackenzie’s Sweetvetch - Hedysarum boreale subsp. mackenziei"; and

             (c)  adding immediately after the species "Porsild's Bryum – Mielichhoferia macrocarpa" the species "Red Crossbill percna subspecies - Loxia curvirostra percna" and the species "Red Pine (Island of Newfoundland Population) – Pinus resinosa".

 

        3. Schedule C of the regulations is amended by

             (a)  adding immediately after the species "Boreal Felt Lichen – Erioderma pedicellatum" the species "Evening Grosbeak – Coccothraustes vespertinus";

             (b)  adding immediately after the species "Mountain Fern – Thelypteris quelpaertensis" the species "Mummichog – Fundulus heteroclitus macrolepidotus";

             (c)  adding immediately after the species "Polar Bear – Ursus maritimus" the species "Red-necked Phalarope – Phalaropus lobatus";

             (d)  adding immediately after the species "Short-eared owl – Asio flammeus" the species "Transverse Lady Beetle – Coccinella transversoguttata"; and

             (e)  adding immediately after the species "Water Pygmyweed – Tillaea aquatica" the species "Yellow-banded Bumble Bee – Bombus terricola".
