Animal Regulations (Filed August 19, 2022) Under the authority of section 9 of the Service Animal Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations. These regulations may be cited as the Service Animal Regulations. Definitions 2. In these regulations (a) "accredited training school" means an organization that (i) provides training programs respecting service animals and that is accredited by, or has been accepted into an accreditation program by, (A) Assistance Dogs International, or (B) International Guide Dog Federation, or (ii) is approved or recognized under the legislation of another jurisdiction in Canada as an organization providing training programs respecting service animals; and (b) "Act" means the Service Animal Act. Qualifications 3. An animal has the qualifications of a service animal for the purposes of the Act where the animal (a) has successfully completed a service animal training program delivered by an accredited training school; or (b) is registered or certified as a service animal under the legislation of another jurisdiction in Canada. Persons who may provide letter 4. In
addition to the persons referred to in subparagraph 2(c)(ii) of the Act, a psychologist registered under the Psychologists
Act, 2005 may provide a letter confirming that a person requires a
