Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Regulations (Amendment)
under the
Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Act
(O.C. 2022-258)

Under the authority of section 92.5 of the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

       1.  (1) Section 23.1 of the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Regulations is amended by adding immediately after the reference "primary site breast cancer 10 years" the following:

primary site penile cancer

15 years

primary site pancreatic cancer

10 years

primary site thyroid cancer

10 years

multiple myeloma

15 years

primary site prostate cancer

15 years

primary site cervical cancer

10 years

primary site ovarian cancer

10 years

primary site skin cancer

15 years

           (2)  Section 23.1 of the Workplace Health, Safety and Compensation Regulations is amended by adding immediately after the reference "primary site skin cancer 15 years" the following:

an injury to the heart that manifests within 24 hours after attendance at an emergency response

Commencement

       2.  Subsection 1(1) is considered to have come into force on December 18, 2019.

           (2)  Subsection 1(2) comes into force on November 30, 2022.
