Medical Care Insurance Insured Services Regulations (Amendment)

Medical Care and Hospital Insurance Act

Under the authority of section 47 of the Medical Care and Hospital Insurance Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

1. Subsection 3(1) of the Medical Care Insurance Insured Services Regulations is amended by deleting the period at the end of paragraph (d) and substituting a semi-colon and the word "and" and adding immediately after that paragraph the following:

(e) medical examinations for persons who are required to undergo a medical examination under paragraph 12(b) of the Highway Traffic Driver Regulations, 1999.

2. Paragraph 4(1)(r) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted:

(r) medical examinations for drivers, except for medical examinations referred to in paragraph 3(1)(e);

Commencement

3. These regulations are considered to have come into force on April 1, 2023.
