Glover Island Public Reserve Regulations (Amendment)
under the
Lands Act
(O.C.2024-017)

Under the authority of section 41 of the Lands Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

as amended

        1. (1) Paragraph 2(a.01) of the Glover Island Public Reserve Regulations is repealed and the following substituted:

       (a.01)  "managing agency" means the Natural Areas Division of the Department of Environment and Climate Change;

             (2)  Section 2 of the regulations is amended by adding immediately after paragraph (a.01) the following:

       (a.02)  "director" means the Director of Wildlife in the department;

 

        2. Section 3 of the regulations is amended by deleting the words "Director of Inland Fish and Wild Life" wherever they appear and substituting the word "director".

 

        3. Subsection 10(2) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted:

             (2)  Upon submission of a written request outlining the scientific research, the minister may, after consultation with the managing agency, issue a permit for scientific research on terms and conditions that the minister considers appropriate. 

Saving

        4. Where a permit, lease, grant or licence to occupy was issued under section 4, 5, 7, 8 or 9 by a minister, other than the minister appointed under the Executive Council Act to administer the Act and these regulations, the permit, lease, grant or licence is considered to have been validly issued.
