Special Election of February 10, 2026 Order
under the
 Municipal Elections Act

Under the authority of section 7 of the Municipal Elections Act, I make the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Special Election of February 10, 2026 Order.

Town of Bellburns

        2. (1) A special election for a 5-member town council shall be held in the Town of Bellburns on February 10, 2026.

             (2)  Denise House is appointed as the returning officer for the purpose of conducting the election referred to in subsection (1).


Town of Charlottetown

        3. (1) A special election for a 7-member town council shall be held in the Town of Charlottetown on February 10, 2026.

             (2)  Stewart McNab is appointed as the returning officer for the purposes of conducting the election referred to in subsection (1).

Town of Crow Head

        4. (1) A special election for a 7-member town council shall be held in the Town of Crow Head on February 10, 2026.

             (2)  Ruth McMenemy is appointed as the returning officer for the purposes of conducting the election referred to in subsection (1).

Town of Eastport

        5. (1) A special by-election to elect 4 members to the town council shall be held in the Town of Eastport on February 10, 2026.

             (2)  Martin Pilar is appointed as the returning officer for the purposes of conducting the by-election referred to in subsection (1).

Town of English Harbour East

        6. (1) A special by-election to elect 3 members to the town council shall be held in the Town of English Harbour East.

             (2)  Courtney Fizzard is appointed as the returning officer for the purposes of conducting the by-election referred to in subsection (1).

Town of Hermitage-Sandyville

        7. (1) A special by-election to elect 3 members to the town council shall be held in the Town of Hermitage-Sandyville.

             (2)  Josie Rideout Simms is appointed as the returning officer for the purposes of conducting the by-election referred to in subsection (1).

Town of Norris Arm

        8. (1) A special by-election to elect 4 members to the town council shall be held in the Town of Norris Arm.

             (2)  Tanya Saunders is appointed as the returning officer for the purposes of conducting the by-election referred to in subsection (1).

Town of Point May

        9. (1) A special by-election to elect 3 members to the town council shall be held in the Town of Point May.

             (2)  Janice Cousins is appointed as the returning officer for the purposes of conducting the by-election referred to in subsection (1).


Town of Port Kirwan

      10. (1) A special by-election to elect 5 members to the town council shall be held in the Town of Port Kirwan.

             (2)  Dana Boland is appointed as the returning officer for the purposes of conducting the by-election referred to in subsection (1).
