S.13 Amdt. NLR 27/12 1. Subparagraph 2(e)(i) of the Trip Inspection Report Regulations is amended by deleting the word "Her" and substituting the word "His". 2. Paragraph 3(e) of the regulations is amended by deleting the words "his or her" and substituting the words "the driver's". 3. (1) Subsection 7(1) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted: Inspection report 7. (1) A person conducting an inspection of a commercial vehicle in accordance with Schedules A, B or C shall prepare an inspection report that contains the following information: (a) the licence plate number or unit number of the vehicle; (b) the carrier's name; (c) the date and time of the inspection; (d) the city, town, local service district or highway location where the inspection was performed; (e) a statement signed by the person conducting the inspection and by the driver, where the driver did not conduct the inspection, stating that the vehicle was inspected in accordance with the applicable requirements; (f) the information required in subsection 6(1); (g) legibly printed name of the inspector; and (h) the odometer reading. (2) Section 7 of the regulations is amended by adding immediately after subsection (1) the following: (1.1) An inspection report required under subsection (1) shall be prepared in a written or equivalent electronic format. (1.2) Notwithstanding subsection (1.1), an inspection report for a school bus shall be prepared electronically using electronic vehicle inspection report equipment approved by the minister. 4. Section 12 of the regulations is amended by adding immediately after subsection (1) the following: (1.1) Notwithstanding subsection 7(1.2), a driver may submit an inspection report in a written format where the electronic vehicle inspection report equipment malfunctions. 5. Subsection 13(2) of the regulations is amended by (a) deleting the words "him or her" and substituting the words "the inspector"; (b) deleting the words "his or her" and substituting the words "the inspector's"; and (c) deleting the words "he or she" and substituting the words "the inspector". ©King's Printer |
