Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act, 1999, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This order may be cited as the Town of Long Harbour-Mount Arlington Heights Order , 2010.

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Long Harbour-Mount Arlington Heights are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. The Town of Long Harbour-Mount Arlington Heights Order, Consolidated Newfoundland and Labrador Regulation 276/96, is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point on the highwater mark of the northern shoreline of Long Harbour , that point being the head land between Long Harbour and St. Croix Bay and is called Point of the Gut;

Then in a general northeasterly direction along the sinuosities of the eastern shoreline of St. Croix Bay to a point where an unnamed river flows into St. Croix Bay and has coordinates north 5,259,886.6 metres and east 737,204.6 metres;

Then north 55 ° east 21' 34" east, 3,663 metres, more or less, to the summit of an unnamed hill;

Then south 69 ° 52' 51" east, 3810.5metres, more or less, to a point where a transmission line crosses over an unnamed brook;

Then in a general northeasterly direction along the centre line of the transmission line 3547.8 metres, more or less, to the Newfoundland and Labrador TRailway Provincial Park;

Then in a general southeasterly direction along the centre line of the Newfoundland and Labrador TRailway Provincial Park 3,190 metres, more or less, to an unnamed river;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the northern shoreline of that river and ponds to and along the northern shoreline of Warrens Pond to a point where an unnamed river flows out to Long Harbour ;

Then south 60 ° 20' 7" east, 1,305 metres, more or less, to a point on a the eastern side of Highway 101, that point being on a line perpendicular to and 300 metres from the eastern side of Highway 101;

Then in a southeasterly direction along a line parallel to and 300 metres from the eastern side of Highway 101, 2182 metres, more or less, to a point on the northern shoreline of an unnamed river which flows into Rattling Brook Big Pond;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the northern shoreline of that river, crossing Highway 101 to the northeastern extremity of Rattling Brook Big Pond;

Then continuing in a southwesterly direction along the northern shoreline of that pond to a point on the northern shoreline of Rattling Brook flowing from Rattling Brook Big Pond;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the northern shoreline of Rattling Brook, 390 metres, more or less, to the eastern extremity of an unnamed pond;

Then continuing in a general southwesterly direction along the northern shoreline of that pond to its westernmost extremity that point having coordinates north 5253678.9 metres and east 739,872.2 metres;

Then south 69 ° 30' 46" west, 663 metres, more or less, to a high point ;

Then south 88 ° 6' 35" west, 1177 metres, more or less, to a high point ;

Then north 45 ° 21' 9" west, 2023 metres, more or less, to a high point ;

Then north 6 ° 54' 48" west, 540 metres, more or less, to a point on the highwater of the southern shoreline of Long Harbour that point being 1400 metres, more or less, west of The Key;

Then in an easterly and westerly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline passing The Key, Rattling Brook Cove, Fleece Cove Point, Sandy Point, Haddock Point, Maturin Point and Big Head to Point of the Gut, the point of Beginning;

Also including the whole of Crawley Island .

All bearings refer to grid north and as with coordinates given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic (Digital) Mapping, UTM Zone 21.
