Mount Carmel-Mitchell's Brook-St. Catherine's Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000 , I define the following area as the Mount Carmel-Mitchell's Brook-St. Catherine's Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA


                     

Beginning at a point on the most westerly limits of Harricott Point having coordinates east 262,812.843 metres and north 5,221,023.346 metres , more or less;

Then heading in a northeasterly direction to a point of intersection with the center line of Route 91 having coordinates east 271,198.957 metres and north 5,228,901.764 metres , more or less;

Then heading in a northeasterly direction to a point having coordinates east 276,789.650 metres and north 5,234,370.307 metres , more or less;

Then heading in a southeasterly direction to a point of intersection with the center line of Salmonier Line (Route 90) having coordinates east 278,251.901 metres and north 5,230,968.643 metres , more or less;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction along the center line of Salmonier Line (Route 90) to a point having coordinates east 278,858.813 metres and north 5,231,633.166 metres , more or less;

Then heading in a southeasterly direction to a point having coordinates east 279,766.258 metres and north 5,229,595.010 metres , more or less;

Then heading in a southeasterly direction to a point having coordinates east 280,854.586 metres and north 5,228,856.520 metres , more or less;

Then heading in a southwesterly direction to a point on the north bank of Murphy's River having coordinates east 280,708.922 metres and north 5,226,649.264 metres , more or less;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the northern bank of Murphy's River to a point of intersection with the northern bank of Little Harbour River having coordinates east 273,889.932 metres and north 5,222,221.491 metres , more or less;

Then heading in a northwesterly direction to a point of intersection with the power transmission line having coordinates east 272,584.971 metres and north 5,224,177.394 metres , more or less;

Then heading in a northwesterly direction to a point on the shoreline of Salmonier Arm having coordinates east 272,056.635 metres and north 5,225,382.034 metres , more or less;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction along the sinuosities of Salmonier Arm to a point on the western abutment of a bridge spanning Salmonier River having coordinates east 272,056.635 metres and north 5,225,382.034 metres , more or less;

Then heading in a northeasterly direction along the western abutment of said bridge to a point on the high water mark of the northern shoreline of Salmonier Arm having coordinates east 274,147.996 metres and north 5,226,632.147 metres , more or less;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the northern shoreline of Salmonier Arm to the point of beginning.

The above described piece or parcel of land containing approximately 8486 hectares, more or less.

 

All coordinates being scaled from 30cm and 50cm Orthorectified Imagery and being referenced to the North American Datum 1983 (NAD83) using the Modified Transverse Mercator (MTM) Zone 1 Projection.
