Lumsden Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000 I define the following area as the Lumsden Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a point on the high water mark in Brandy Cove having coordinates east 266,347.016 metres and north 5,459,978.027 metres, more or less;

Then running in a general northwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline to a point on the high water mark in Queens Head having coordinates east 260,370.108 metres and north 5,465,344.992 metres, more or less;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline to a point on the high water mark of Long Beach having coordinates east 259,341.324 metres and north 5,464,126.756 metres, more or less;

Then running in a northwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline to a point on the on the high water mark approximately 525 metres from the centre of High Marsh having coordinates east 258,229.496 metres and north 5,464,466.389 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a southwesterly direction to a point on the centerline of Gander Bay Highway (Route 330) having coordinates east 257,893.031 metres and north 5,463,210.686 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a southeasterly direction to a point on an unnamed river having coordinates east 257,900.855 metres and north 5,463,175.692 metres, more or less;

Then running in a southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the eastern shoreline of a unnamed river to a point on a high water mark on Double Pond having coordinates east 257,548.842 metres and north 5,462,286.109 metres, more or less;

Then running in a southeasterly direction along the sinuosities of the northern shoreline of Double Pond to a point on a high water mark of said pond having coordinates east 258,521.691 metres and north 5,461,345.229 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a general southeasterly direction to a point on Gull Pond Protected Public Water Supply (NL Regulation 43/06) having coordinates east 258,779.273 metres and north 5,461,186.889 metres, more or less;

Then running in a southwesterly direction for a distance of 1317 metres along Gull Pond Protected Public Water Supply to a point having coordinates east 257,618.402 metres and north 5,460,564.336 metres, more or less;

Then running in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 1601 metres along Gull Pond Protected Public Water Supply to a point having coordinates east 258,736.944 metres and north 5,459,419.691 metres, more or less;

Then running in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 1107 metres along Gull Pond Protected Public Water Supply to a point having coordinates east 259,765.971 metres and north 5,459,011.827 metres, more or less;

Then running in a northeasterly direction for a distance 1039 metres along Gull Pond Protected Public Water Supply to a point having coordinates east 260,388.108 metres and north 5,459,843.482 metres, more or less;

Then running in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 1314 metres along Gull Pond Protected Public Water Supply to a point having east 261,622.288 metres and north 5,459,394.032 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a northeasterly direction to a point having coordinates east 261,656.930 metres and north 5,459,430.609 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a northeasterly direction to a point on a high water mark of Windmill Brook approximately 274 metres from the centre of Meeting House Pond having coordinates east 262,583.015 metres and north 5,458,864.919 metres, more or less;

Then running in a northeasterly direction along the sinuosities of the western shoreline of Windmill Brook to a point on the high water mark of said Brook having coordinates east 262,992.800 metres and north 5,459,401.450 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a southeasterly direction 200 metres parallel from Gander Bay Highway (Route 330) to a point having coordinates east 263,963.217 metres and north 5,457,161.598 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a northeasterly direction to a point on the centerline of Gander Bay Highway Route 330 having coordinates east   264,201.750 metres and north 5,457,342.931 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a northeasterly direction to a point on the high water mark of the western shoreline of Brandy Cove Pond having coordinates east 264,203.585 metres and north 5,457,356.006 metres, more or less;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction along the sinuosities of the western shoreline of Brandy Cove Pond to a point on the high water mark having coordinates east 265,147.459 metres and north 5,458,828.961 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a northeasterly direction to a point having coordinates east 265,564.657 metres and north 5,458,939.801 metres, more or less;

Then heading in a northeasterly direction back to the point of beginning.

All coordinates being scaled from 30cm Orthorectified Imagery and being referenced to the North American Datum 1983 (NAD83) using the Modified Transverse Mercator (MTM) Zone 1 Projection.
