Town of Bay L'Argent Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Bay L'Argent Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Bay L'Argent are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 681/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point at highwater mark in Osmond Cove on the eastern shoreline of the harbour of Bay L'Argent , grid reference 605681;

Then running south 17° east a distance of 850 metres, more or less, to the point of highest elevation on Sugarloaf Hill;

Then running south 61° west a distance of 2,275 metres, more or less, to the point of highest elevation on the Hare Hills;

Then running north 45° west a distance of 925 metres, more or less, to a point at highwater mark on the southern shoreline of the Back Cove of Bay L'Argent;

Then running along the sinuosities of the shoreline of Bay L'Argent Back Cove to the most southern point of Back Cove Head;

Then running in a generally northeasterly direction along the shoreline via Cuff Head to White Point;

Then running in a generally southerly and northeasterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline of the harbour of Bay L'Argent by way of the Basin, May Cove, Ampeton Cove and Jersey Cove to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
