Town of Chance Cove Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Chance Cove Order .

Boundaries

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Chance Cove are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 600/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point in Western Head at the southern entrance to Rantem Cove and then running south 30° west 3,500 metres, more or less, to the point of highest elevation on Serrated Hill;

Then running south 10° east 3,650 metres, more or less, to the junction point of the Cabot Highway and the Trans Canada Highway;

Then running north 84° east 4,575 metres, more or less, to a point on the western shoreline of Tickle Bay;

Then running in a generally northwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline via Green Head, Big Chance Cove and Little Chance Cove to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
