Town of Cook 's Harbour Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Cook's Harbour Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Cook 's Harbour are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 612/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point at the highwater mark which is the most eastern extremity of Cook's Point and then running in a generally southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline of Cook's Harbour to the most westerly point of Neige Bay;

Then running along the sinuosities of the eastern shoreline of Long Point to the north end of the foot bridge which spans Barr Island Cove;

Then running along the sinuosities of the western shoreline of Long Point to the most northerly point of the northeast arm of Salt Lake ;

Then running due west a distance of 750 metres to the centre line of the main highroad of St. Anthony;

Then running in a northeast direction along the centre line of the highroad a distance of 550 metres to the junction point of the roads leading to St. Anthony, Wild Bight and Cook's Harbour;

Then running due north a distance of 950 metres to a point on the south shoreline of River Bay ;

Then running in a generally northeasterly direction along the sinuosities of the south shoreline of Cape Norman Bay via Square Bay and Bonne Bay to the point of beginning.
