Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Forteau Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Forteau are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulations 646/78 and 204/83 are repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point, that point being on the eastern shoreline of Forteau Bay and known as Chimney Head;

Then due west a distance of 600 metres, more or less;

Then north 17° west a distance of 4,200 metres, more or less;

Then north 46° east to the southern shoreline of an unnamed pond a distance of 950 metres, more or less;

Then along the southern shoreline of the aforementioned unnamed pond in a generally northeasterly direction to the intersection of the pond and the western bank of Forteau Brook a distance of approximately 800 metres, more or less;

Then south 78° 30' east a distance of 2,400 metres, more or less;

Then due south to the shoreline of Forteau Bay a distance of 2,400 metres, more or less;

Then along the shoreline of Forteau Bay in a generally northwesterly and southerly direction passing English Point, Grassy Point, Salmon Point, Admiral Point to the point of beginning a distance of approximately 6,350 metres.

All bearings refer to grid north and as with distance given are subject to approximation.
