Town of Gaskiers-Point La Haye Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Gaskiers-Point La Haye Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Gaskiers- Point La Haye are as set out in the Schedule.

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 660/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point at the mouth of Fox's River where the river empties into La Haye Pond and then south 52° east a distance of 3,400 metres, more or less, to a point on the western shoreline of Holyrood Pond;

Then running in a generally southwesterly direction along the western shoreline of Holyrood Pond to a point in the shoreline located due east of Red Point a distance of 600 metres, more or less, northeast of the mouth of the lower Barasway River;

Then running west a distance of 3,950 metres, more or less, to a point in the eastern shoreline of St. Mary's Bay known locally as Red Point;

Then running in a generally northeasterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline to the midway point on the southern shoreline of the sand bar separating La Haye Pond and Gaskier's Bay;

Then crossing the centre line of the bar to a point on the northern shoreline;

Then running in a generally southeasterly direction along the northern shoreline of the sand bar to the most southern point of La Haye Pond;

Then running in a generally northerly direction along the eastern shoreline of La Haye Pond to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
