Town of Glenwood Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Glenwood Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Glenwood are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 653/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point on the centre line of the right-of-way of Canadian National Railway's main line from Glenwood to Notre Dame Junction having reference north 85° 30' west 1,610 metres from the eastern face of the west abutment of the Canadian National Railway's bridge spanning the Gander River;

Then running north 6° 30' east 800 metres;

Then running south 83° 30' east 1,650 metres, more or less, to the west shoreline of the Gander River;

Then running in a generally southerly direction along the west shoreline of the Gander River approximately 5,800 feet;

Then running north 83° 30' west 1,675 metres;

Then running north 6° 30' east 4,025 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning.

All bearings herein refer to true meridian and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping, the land containing an area of approximately 676 hectares.
