Town of Hare Bay Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Hare Bay Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Hare Bay are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 881/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point in the centre line of the south access road to Wellington , that point being midway between the United and Anglican cemeteries;

Then running south 30° east a distance of 825 metres, more or less, to a point in the northern shoreline of Hare Bay at the western entrance to Butcher's Cove;

Then running in a generally southerly direction along the sinuosities of the western shoreline of Hare Bay and the content reach to a point at the northern entrance to Freshwater Bay ;

Then running in a generally westerly direction along the northern shoreline of Freshwater Bay to a point located a distance of 150 metres, more or less, southeast of the mouth of Traverse Brook;

Then running north a distance of 4,250 metres, more or less;

Then running north 57° east a distance of 6,450 metres, more or less, to a point in the centre of the bridge spanning the mouth of the brook which flows into the northwest arm of Lockers Bay;

Then running in a generally southeasterly direction along the centre line of the main highway to a point located a distance of 150 metres, more or less, south of the centre line of the north access road to Wellington;

Then running south 30° east a distance of 300 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
