Town of Hawke 's Bay Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Hawke's Bay Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Hawke 's Bay are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 882/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point, that point being the innermost penetration of the sea at Keppel Harbour ;

Then following the common boundary between Hawke's Bay and Port Saunders north 46° east a distance of 5,350 metres, more or less, and passing through the northwestern extremity of an unnamed pond which is located to the south of Highway 73 to the southernmost extremity of Gilmores Pond which flows into Port Saunders Harbour;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline on the southern side of the pond in a northerly direction to the mouth of an unnamed river which flows into the pond;

Then south 78° east a distance of 5,200 metres, more or less, to a point on the eastern bank of East River;

Then south 7° west a distance of 8,400 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being at the mouth of a river which flows into Nells Pond;

Then north 81° 30' west a distance of 2,950 metres, more or less, to where Bowater's woods road intersects with Highway 73;

Then north 88° west a distance of 2,900 metres, more or less, to the southern extremity of an unnamed pond;

Then north 61° 30' west a distance of 700 metres, more or less, to the southern extremity of an unnamed pond which flows into Hawke's Bay;

Then following the sinuosities of the pond on the west side to the most northern extremity of the pond;

Then north 16° 30' west a distance of 1,250 metres, more or less, to a point, that point being at the mouth of a stream which flows into Hawke's Bay;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline of Hawke's Bay in a generally easterly, northerly and westerly direction passing through Hawke's Bay, Lossieux Point, Keppel Point to the point of commencement.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
