Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act
and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act
, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.
ORDER
Analysis
Short title
1.
This Order may be cited as the Town of Point of Bay Order
.

The boundaries of the Town of Point of Bay are as set out in the Schedule.

Newfoundland
Regulation 778/78 is repealed.

Schedule
Beginning at a point on the western shoreline of the
Bay
of
Exploits
known locally as Woodless Point;
Then running north 20° west 3,440 metres, more or less, to the most southern point of Indian Cove Pond;
Then running along the western shoreline of Indian Cove Pond to the mouth of Charles Brook at the northwest angle of the pond;
Then running in a generally northerly direction along the western bank of Charles Brook to the southern shoreline of Chattel Pond;
Then running along the southern and western shorelines of Chattel Pond to its most northerly point;
Then running north 300 metres, more or less;
Then running east 3,050 metres, more or less, to the mouth of Peckford's Brook on the western shoreline of the Bay of Exploits;
Then running in a generally southerly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline via Indian Cove, Sandy Cove and Cutnows Cove to Bay Point;
Then running in a generally southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline via Point of Bay to the point of beginning.
All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
