Town of Port Saunders Order
under the
Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 3 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Port Saunders Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Port Saunders are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 765/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Commencing at a point, that point being at the innermost penetration of the sea at Keppel Harbour ;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally northerly direction passing through Saunders Point, Port Saunders Harbour , Two Hills Point to a point, that point being at the mouth of a river which flows into Ingornachoix Bay ;

Then following the eastern bank of the river in a generally northerly direction to an unnamed pond;

Then following the sinuosities of the south bank of the pond in an easterly direction to its most northeasterly extremity;

Then north 69° 30' east a distance of 6,925 metres, more or less, to the northernmost extremity of Tilt Pond;

Then south 82° east a distance of 700 metres, more or less, to the most western extremity of an unnamed pond;

Then south 6° 30' east a distance of 4,250 metres, more or less, to the mouth of a river which flows into Gilmores Pond;

Then following the sinuosities of the pond to the southernmost extremity of the pond;

Then south 46° west a distance of 5,350 metres, more or less, and passing through the northwestern extremity of an unnamed pond which is located to the south of Highway 430 to the point of commencement.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
