(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of River of Ponds Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of River of Ponds are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 800/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point, that point being on the centre line of Route 73, north of the town, where the road crosses the stream flowing from Little Brook Pond to Bad Bay;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline of Little Brook Pond in a generally southerly direction to a point, that point being on the shoreline and a distance of 300 metres, more or less, north of Route 73;

Then running parallel to and a distance of 300 metres from that road to a point on the centre line of Route 73 west, that point being 425 metres, more or less, north of the intersection on Route 73;

Then south 6° 30' east a distance of 2,450 metres, more or less, to a point on the northwestern shoreline of River of Ponds Lake;

Then north 76° 30' west a distance of 3,175 metres, more or less, to a point on the shoreline of the Gulf of St. Lawrence where an unnamed stream flows into the Gulf;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally northerly direction around Bad Bay to the point where the stream flows from Little Brook Pond into that bay;

Then following the southern bank of that stream to the point of commencement.

All bearings being referred to grid north.
