Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Westport Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of Westport are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulation 862/78 is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point at highwater mark in the southernmost angle of Westport Cove, that point having reference from the extreme northern tip of the Gull Rocks as follows, north 82° 30' east 900 metres, more or less;

Then running east 3,050 metres, more or less;

Then running north 1,525 metres, more or less;

Then running west 2,300 metres, more or less, to a point at highwater mark in the northern shoreline of Pound Cove;

Then running in a generally southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the eastern shoreline of White Bay , via Pound Cove, Wiseman's Cove and Westport Cove to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
