Town of English Harbour East Order
under the
Municipalities Act

Under the authority of paragraph 3(c) of theMunicipalities Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Analysis



Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of English Harbour East Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of English Harbour East are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. The Community of English Harbour East Order , Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 148/96, is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point on the high water mark of Fortune Bay, at the mouth of Little Bay de LEau at coordinates north 5,276,125 metres east 655,950 metres;

Then grid north 500 metres, more or less, to a high point, coordinates north 5,276,625 metres east 655,950 metres;

Then north 1° 00 east, 3,750 metres, more or less, to a high point, coordinates north 5,280,350 metres east 656,050;

Then north 69° 30 east, 3,875 metres, more or less, to a high point, coordinates north 5,281,750 metres east 659,675;

Then south 49° 30 east, 1,150 metres, more or less, to the northernmost extremity of an unnamed pond, coordinates north 5,281,000 metres east 660,550 metres;

Then in a southerly direction along the western shoreline of the pond to and along the eastern shoreline of Betty Brook, to a point on the high water mark of Bombards Cove, coordinates north 5,278,575 metres east 660,650;

Then in a general southwesterly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline of Fortune Bay passing Eastern Head, English Harbour East, Western Head, White Point, Little Bay de LEau, to the point of beginning.

All bearings referred to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping, Edition 3.
