Local Service District of Pleasantview
under the
Municipalities Act

Under the authority of section 634 of the Municipalities Act , I make the following Order.

Analysis



District continued

        1. The area comprising the community of Pleasantview is continued as a local service district by the name of the Local Service District of Pleasantview .

        2. The boundaries for the local service district shall be as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. The Local Service District of Pleasantview , Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 361/96, is repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point on the western side of South Arm in Notre Dame Bay, that point having UTM co-ordinates north 5,469,300 metres and east 622,250 metres;

Then north 12° 00 west 600 metres, more or less, to the northernmost extremity of Mouse Cove;

Then north 81° 00 west 1,275 metres, more or less, to the westernmost extremity of Little Arm Pond;

Then south 63° 00 west 1,125 metres, more or less, to the northernmost point of an unnamed pond, that point having UTM co-ordinates north 5,469,525 metres and east 619,875 metres;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the western shoreline of that pond to the mouth of an unnamed brook flowing into that pond;

Then in a southwesterly direction along the eastern bank of the brook to an unnamed pond;

Then in a southerly direction along the western shoreline of the pond to its southernmost extremity, that point having UTM co-ordinates north 5,468,100 metres and east 618,915 metres;

Then south 30° 00 west 80 metres, more or less, to a high point, having UTM co-ordinates north 5,467,525 metres, and east 618,625 metres;

Then south 32° 30 east 1,150 metres, more or less, to a point on the high water mark at the southernmost extremity of Bobs Cove;

Then in a northerly direction following the sinuosities of the shoreline passing Bulleys Cove, Paradise Cove, to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances and co-ordinates given, are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic Mapping.
