Fermeuse Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, 2000, I define the following area as the Fermeuse Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA



Beginning at the point of highest elevation on Butter Pot Hill, that point being a geodetic control point and then running north 3,650 metres, more or less;

Then running east 4,400 metres, more or less, to a point in the centre line of the Southern Shore Highway (Route 10); Then running south 75° east 3,350 metres, more or less;

Then running south 26° west 450 metres, more or less, to the centre line of the Ferry Road;

Then running along the centre line of the Ferry Road to the northern limit of the main highroad connecting Fermeuse and Port Kirwan;

Then running south 400 metres, more or less, to the northern shoreline of Fermeuse Harbour ;

Then following the shoreline of Fermeuse Harbour to Bear Cove Head at the southern entrance to Fermeuse Harbour ;

Then running in a generally southerly direction along the eastern shoreline of the Avalon Peninsula to a point known locally as South Point;

Then running north 65° west 4,400 metres, more or less, to a point in the centre line of the Southern Shore Highway (Route 10);

Then running north 78° west 7,150 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
