Municipalities Act
(O.C. 96-170)

Under the authority of section 257 of the Municipalities Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the Town of L'Anse-au-Clair Order .

        2. The boundaries of the Town of L'Anse-au-Clair are as set out in the Schedule.

Repeal

        3. Newfoundland Regulations 717/78 and 14/80 are repealed.

Schedule

Beginning at a point where the common boundary separating the Province of Quebec and the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador intersects the eastern shoreline of Baie Blanc Sablon, that point being 609 metres, more or less, west of Pte. St. Charles ;

Then running north a distance of 11,887 metres, more or less, to a point on the provincial boundary;

Then running east a distance of 3,840 metres, more or less;

Then running south 15° east a distance of 11,887 metres, more or less, to a point on the northern shoreline of the Strait of Belle Isle;

Then running in a generally westerly direction along the sinuosities of the shoreline via L'Anse-au-Clair to the point of beginning.

All bearings being referred to the true meridian.
