CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 820/96

Botwood Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act
(O.C. 96-173)

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Botwood Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at the mouth of Northern Arm Brook and following the shoreline by way of Northern Arm Point, Killick Point and Mill Point to the site of the destroyed bridge near the mouth of Peters River ;

Then following an abandoned highway route to its intersection with the highway to Peterview;

Then south 35° 30' east 4,400 metres, more or less, to the northern shoreline of Exploits River;

Then following the shoreline southwestwardly to a point at UTM grid reference 619 990 metres east and 5 436 000 metres north;

Then due west 6,900 metres, more or less;

Then due north 7,300 metres, more or less;

Then following the sinuosities of the northern bank of Northern Arm Brook to the place of beginning.

All bearings refer to UTM grid and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 mapping.
