CONSOLIDATED NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR REGULATION 885/96

Milltown - Head of Bay d'Espoir Municipal Planning Area
under the
Urban and Rural Planning Act
(O.C. 96-173)

Under the authority of section 11 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act and the Subordinate Legislation Revision and Consolidation Act , the Lieutenant-Governor in Council defines the following area as the Milltown - Head of Bay d'Espoir Municipal Planning Area.

PLANNING AREA

Beginning at a point on the northeastern abutment of a bridge, spanning a river flowing into the northern extremity of Bay d'Espoir, leading to St. Veronica's;

Then in a northwesterly direction along the eastern shoreline of that river 1,700 metres, more or less, to a point on the southern shoreline of an unnamed river;

Then in a northeasterly direction along the southern shoreline of that river 350 metres, more or less, to a point on the centre line of a transmission line right-of-way;

Then in a southeasterly direction along the transmission line right-of-way 1,450 metres, more or less, to the northern shoreline of an unnamed river;

Then in a northeasterly direction along that river 700 metres, more or less, to a point;

Then south 65° 30' east 6,250 metres, more or less, to a point;

Then south 16° 00' east 150 metres, more or less, to the centre line of Route 361;

Then in a southerly direction to and along the eastern sideline of a woods road to a point 150 metres, more or less, from the centre line of Route 361;

Then in a southwesterly direction parallel to and 150 metres from the centre line of Route 361 a distance of 325 metres, more or less, to a point on the eastern extremity of an unnamed pond having co-ordinates north 5 310 387 metres and east 327 376 metres;

Then south 33° 00' west 3,950 metres, more or less, to a high point ;

Then south 57° 30' west 2,100 metres, more or less, to a high point ;

Then south 68° 00' west 1,775 metres, more or less, to a high point ;

Then north 69° 00' west 2,087 metres, more or less, to a point on the highwater mark of the eastern shoreline of Bay d'Espoir having co?ordinates north 5 305 995 metres and east 319 805 metres;

Then in a northerly direction along the sinuosities of the eastern shoreline of Bay d'Espoir passing Southwest Cove, Bobbett Cove, Pardy Head Cove and Cribb Cove to the point of beginning.

All bearings refer to grid north and as with distances given are subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:2500 Forestry Resource and Lands Mapping, 1983 and the 1:50,000 National Topography Mapping, third edition.
