Schedule B

Outline of King George IV Ecological Reserve Management Plan

The area known as King George IV delta, on the southwestern edge of the Lloyds Lake System, southwestern Newfoundland and Labrador , is established as an ecological reserve to preserve one of the largest undisturbed delta systems on the island and a representative portion of the Central Newfoundland and Labrador Forest Ecoregion. The area is set aside to provide for scientific and educational purposes. To accomplish this there will be no removal of wild life, plants or other material from the site except under scientific permit, and there will be no development within the reserve. Scientific research will be encouraged and educational use will be permitted where it does not conflict with the general objectives of preservation and scientific research. Recreational activities such as hiking and canoeing will be permitted.
