EXPLANATORY NOTE This Bill would amend the Works, Services and Transportation Act by increasing the maximum amount of a fine for parking violations on land owned or occupied by the government of the province. |
A BILL AN ACT TO AMEND THE WORKS, SERVICES AND TRANSPORTATION ACT Analysis 1.
S.35 Amdt. 2. Commencement Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: SNL1995 cW-12 1. Subsection 35(8) of the Works, Services and Transportation Act is repealed and the following substituted: (8) A person who contravenes (a) the regulations referred to in this section; (b) a condition attached to or prescribed in respect of a permit issued under subsection (4); or (c) a direction of the minister referred to in subsection (5), is guilty of an offence and liable on summary conviction to a fine of not less than $5 and not more than $100 and in default of payment of the fine to imprisonment for a period not exceeding 10 days. Commencement 2. This Act comes into force on September 1, 2015. ©Queen's Printer |
