EXPLANATORY NOTES This Bill would amend the Labour Relations Act to remove the term of the person appointed to represent government in an unofficial capacity on the Labour Management Arbitration Committee and allow him or her to serve until replaced by the Minister. S.91.2 Amdt. Be it enacted by the Lieutenant-Governor and House of Assembly in Legislative Session convened, as follows: RSNL1990 cL-1 1. Subsection 91.2(1) of the Labour Relations Act is repealed and the following substituted: Term of members and operation of committee 91.2 (1) A member of the arbitration committee referred to in paragraphs 91.1(4)(a) to (c) shall serve for a term of up to 3 years. (1.1) The member of the arbitration committee referred to in paragraph 91.1(4)(d) shall serve until the minister appoints a person to replace him or her. ©Queen's Printer |
