Highway Traffic Driver Regulations (Amendment)
under the
Highway Traffic Act

Under the authority of subsection 55(10) of the Highway Traffic Act, I make the following regulations.

Student passengers

CNR 13/96

1. Section 18 of the Highway Traffic Driver Regulations is amended by striking out the sidenote “Student passengers” and substituting “Passengers”, by renumbering section 18 as subsection 18(1) and by adding the following immediately after that subsection:

             (2)  Nothing in these regulations shall prohibit a parent or guardian of a student driver from being present in a motor vehicle while a student driver is under authorized instruction as permitted by these regulations.
