Mineral Regulations, 1983 (Amendment)

Under the authority of section 41.1 of the Mineral Act, I make the following regulations.

        1. Paragraph J of Schedule I of the Mineral Regulations, 1983 is repealed.

Mining lease exemption

        2. Notwithstanding subsection (1), the lands described in paragraph J of Schedule I of the regulations as they were immediately before the enactment of these regulations, will be open after 9:00 a.m. on the thirty‑second day after October 11, 1996, with the exception of 159.8 hectares issued as a mining lease to Atlantic Gypsum Resources Inc. and more particularly described on NTS sheet map 12B/7 kept on file at the Department of Mines and Energy.
