St. John's Nursing Home Board
Constitution Order

under the
Hospitals Act

Under the authority of sections 4 and 5 of the Hospitals Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, upon the recommendation of the Minister of Health, makes the following Order.

Schedule


Short title

        1. This Order may be cited as the St. John's Nursing Home Board Constitution Order.

Board constituted

        2. A board, known as the St. John's Nursing Home Board, is constituted to act in place of the authorities of the institutions listed in the Schedule.

Duties of board

        3. The St. John's Nursing Home Board, constituted in section 2, shall manage and control the operation of the institutions listed in the Schedule and all other facilities, services and programs operated or provided by or associated with those institutions.

Composition of board

        4. (1) The St. John's Nursing Home Board shall consist of 16 persons appointed by the Minister of Health.

             (2)  The board shall be comprised of 2 nominees from each institution listed in the Order and the remainder, including the Chair, to be chosen to represent the general public.
