Newfoundland Regulation 1997 Jack's
(Filed May 14, 1997) Under the authority of section 4 of the Provincial Parks Act, the Lieutenant‑Governor in Council proclaims the area described in the Schedule to be a provincial park. Dated at Malcolm Rowe The
Proclamation re: Jack's Schedule All that piece or parcel of land situate and being at Jack's Pond, in the Electoral District of Bellevue, abutted and bounded as follows, that is to say: Beginning at a point, that point being Control Survey Monument No. 73104 and having co‑ordinates of north 5,291,981.99 metres and east 232,434.42 metres; Then running by Crown land north 36° 54' 50" east 299.96 metres, more or less; Then running along the centre line of the Cabot Highway (now abandoned) in a general southeasterly direction, to a point being distant 765.000 metres as measured on a bearing of south 73° 35' 10" east from the last mentioned point; Then running by Crown land south 16° 24' 50" west 40.000 metres, more or less, to a point in the northerly shoreline of Jack's Pond; Then running along the northerly and the westerly shoreline of Jack's Pond in general southwesterly and southeasterly directions to a point being distant 1201.000 metres, more or less, as measured on a bearing of south 17° 05' 57" east from the last mentioned point; Then running by Crown land south 50° 46' 14" west 165.000 metres; Then south 28° 01' 37" east 1332.500 metres; Then north 83° 11' 43" west 1701.93 metres; Then north 83° 19' 55" west 73.92 metres; Then north 83° 23' 12" west 131.25 metres; Then north 83° west 30 metres, more or less; Then running along the easterly shoreline of Great Southern Harbour at ordinary low water to a point being distant 1914.87 metres, more or less, as measured on a bearing of north 9° 36' 41" west from the last mentioned point; Then running by Crown lands north 56° east 30 metres; Then north 56° 18' 52" east 557.92 metres, more or less, to the point of beginning and containing an area of 344 hectares, more or less.
