Official Inspection Station Regulations (Amendment)
under the
Highway Traffic Act

Under the authority of subsection 196(1) of the Highway Traffic Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulation.

        1. Subsection 10(3) of the Official Inspection Station Regulations is repealed and the following substituted:

             (3)  The registrar may in his or her discretion accept an inspection for,

             (a)  a vehicle that has passed an inspection in another jurisdiction where that inspection is considered by the registrar to be equivalent to the vehicle safety inspection required by these regulations; and

             (b)  a taxi that has passed a municipal taxi inspection and has received a taxi inspection certificate and inspection sticker issued in accordance with a municipal inspection program approved by the registrar.
