Official Inspection Station Regulations (Amendment)
under the
Highway Traffic Act
(O.C. 97-687)

Under the authority of subsection 196(1) of the Highway Traffic Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following regulations.

        1. (1) Subsection 10(1) of the Official Inspection Station Regulations is amended by deleting the words "or operated" and substituting a comma and the phrase "operated or permitted to be operated by the vehicle owner".

             (2)  Subsection 10(4) of the regulations is amended by adding after the word "operate" a comma and the phrase "or as the owner of the vehicle allow another person to operate".

        2. Subsection 19(10) of the regulations is repealed and the following substituted:

           (10)  A person shall not operate, or as the owner of the vehicle allow another person to operate a vehicle where that vehicle has failed to pass the vehicle safety inspection required by these regulations.
