Medical Care Insurance Release of Information Order

Medical Care Insurance Act

Under the authority of paragraph 12(5)(f) of the Medical Care Insurance Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

1. This Order may be cited as the Medical Care Insurance Release of Information Order.

Release of information

2. A person employed in the administration of the Medical Care Insurance Act may, at the request of a person or that person s authorized agent, release information in the possession of the commission where the information relates to the individual requesting the information in accordance with the policy adopted by the commission and approved by the Minister of Health.
