Newfoundland Regulation 1997 King George IV Ecological Reserve Order, 1997 (Filed
January 13, 1997) Under the
authority of section 18 of the Wilderness
and Ecological Reserves Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the

1997. Area included 2. The area included in the King
George IV Ecological Reserve is as set out in Schedule A. Management plan outline 3. An outline of the King George IV
Ecological Reserve Management Plan is as set out in Schedule B. Repeal 4. The
King George IV Lake Provisional
Ecological Reserve Order, Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 1094/96, is
repealed. Schedule A All that
piece or parcel of land being a part of the Beginning
at a point on the tip of a peninsula in the southern shoreline of Then from
the point of beginning running in a straight line, south 0° 36' east, a
distance of 2,860 metres, more or less, to a point at the junction of 2 brooks; Then
running south 83° 37' west, a distance of 1,650 metres, more or less, to a
point on the eastern bank of river flowing into Then
running north 78° 56' west, a distance of 4,376 metres, more or less, to a
point on the top of a hill; Then
running north 31° 35' west, a distance of 1,174 metres, more or less, to a
point at the western end of a small lake; Then
running north 8° 59' west, a distance of 800 metres, more or less, to a point
on the southern bank of Then
running north 76° 28' east, a distance of 4,145 metres, more or less, to a
point at the outflow on the southern end of a small pond; Then
running south 83° 45' east, a distance of 2,485 metres, more or less to the tip
of a small peninsula on the north shore of King George IV Lake; Then
running south 27° 56' east, more or less a distance of 373 metres to the point
of commencement and containing an area of 1,841 hectares. All
bearings refer to grid north, based on the UTM Projection with a central
meridian of 57° west longitude, North American Datum, 1927. Schedule B Outline of
