Newfoundland Regulation 1998 Town of (Filed
September 29, 1998) Under the
authority of section 3 of the
Municipalities Act, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following
Order. Dated at John
Cummings ORDER Analysis 1. Short
title 2. Boundaries 3. Repeal Schedule Short title 1. This Order may be cited as the Town of Boundaries 2. The boundaries of the Town of Repeal 3. The
Town of Port au Choix Order,
Consolidated Newfoundland Regulation 374/96, is repealed. Schedule Beginning
at a point, that point being the most westerly point of Point Riche at the
highwater mark in the Gulf of St. Lawrence; Then
following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally northerly and
easterly direction passing Black Point to Then north
71° 30', east 800 metres, more or less, to Laignet Point; Then
following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally northerly, easterly
and southerly direction passing Catoche Point, Barbace Cove, Barbace Point to a
point on the northern shoreline of Black Arm, that point having UTM
co-ordinates north 5,518,950 metres, east 476,075 metres; Then south
64° 00' east, 1,025 metres, more or less, to a point on the southern shoreline
of Back Arm, that point having UTM co-ordinates north 5,518,500 metres, east
477,000 metres; Then
following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally northerly and
easterly direction a distance of 5.8 kilometres, more or less, to a point at
the mouth of an unnamed river flowing into St. John Bay and having UTM
co-ordinates north 5,519,750 metres, east 481,500 metres; Then south
5° 00' west a distance of 550 metres, more or less, to where the river crosses
Highway 73; Then south
16° 00' west a distance of 5,000 metres, more or less, to a point; Then south
69° 30' west a distance of 1,900 metres, more or less, to the northeastern
extremity of an unnamed pond; Then along
the sinuosities of the southern bank of the pond in a generally westerly
direction to the most westerly extremity of the pond; Then
running along the eastern bank of a river which flows out of the unnamed pond
and into the Then
following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a generally northerly direction
to the most easterly point on the southern shoreline of Gargamelle Cove having
UTM co-ordinates north 5,516,200 metres, east 474,450 metres; Then in an
easterly direction to Point Riche, the point of beginning. All
bearings refer to grid north and as with co-ordinates and distances given are
subject to approximation as delineated on the 1:50,000 National Topographic
