Victim Surcharge Order
under the
Criminal Code

Under the authority of subsection 737(4) of the Criminal Code, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council makes the following Order.

Short title

1. This Order may be cited as the Victim Surcharge Order.

Payment of surcharge

2. Where a court does not impose a fine for an offence, a victim surcharge arising under the Criminal Code shall be paid within 30 days of the date of conviction or discharge of the offence.
