St. John's Urban Region Agriculture Development Area Order  (Amendment)

Lands Act

Under the authority of section 57 of the Lands Act, the Lieutenant Governor in Council makes the following Order.

        1. The area described as Torbay–Flatrock Zone 1 in the Schedule to the St. John's Urban Region Agriculture Development Area Order is repealed and the following substituted:

TORBAY - FLATROCK AREA

Zone 1

All that piece and parcel of land located in the community of Pouch Cove abutted and bounded as follows:

Beginning at a point on the northern limit of the road leading to the former Shoe Cove tracking station, that point having co‑ordinates of north 5,288,200 metres and east 324,700 metres;

Then running in a general northwesterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,288,530 metres and east 324,580 metres;

Then running along a trail to a point on the southern limit of the road leading to the Shoe Cove pasture, that point having co‑ordinates of north 5,288,640 metres and east 324,490 metres;

Then running along the southern limit of that road to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,288,760 metres and east 324,770 metres;

Then running in a general northerly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,289,290 metres and east 324,585 metres;

Then running in a general southeasterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,289,240 metres and east 324,720 metres;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,289,400 metres and east 324,820 metres;

Then running in a general northwesterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,289,450 metres and east 324,730 metres;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,289,790 metres and east 324,990 metres;

Then running in a general northwesterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,289,925 metres and east 324,860 metres;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,290,135 metres and east 325,335 metres;

Then running in a general northwesterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,290,325 metres and east 325,230 metres;

Then running in a general northeasterly direction to a point on the shoreline of a cove south of Shoe Cove Island, that point having co‑ordinates of north 5,290,800 metres and east 325,490 metres;

Then following the sinuosities of the shoreline in a general northeasterly and then southeasterly direction to a point on the shoreline of Stiles Cove, that point having co‑ordinates of north 5,288,000 metres and east 325,920 metres;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,287,850 metres and east 325,440 metres;

Then running in a general northwesterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,288,370 metres and east 325,260 metres;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,288,347 metres and east 325,173 metres;

Then running in a general northwesterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,288,538 metres and east 325,114 metres;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,288,450 metres and east 324,827 metres;

Then running in a general southeasterly direction to a point having co‑ordinates of north 5,288,259 metres and east 324,886 metres;

Then running in a general southwesterly direction to the point of commencement.

The above described parcel of land contains an area of approximately 364 hectares and is more particularly shown outlined on a map, scale 1:12,500 available for viewing at the Department of Forestry Resources and Agrifoods, Soil and Land Management Division, Provincial Agriculture Building, Brookfield Road, Mount Pearl. All points refer to the Universal Transverse Mercator Grid Projection, Zone 22T.
